Aqua World

The Aquarium World Expo 2009, which kicked-off on February 26th, is showcasing ornamental fishes, birds and dogs. The expo at the Women’s Association Hall, Cochin, is on till March 1. Kerala’s first Consumer Pets’ Fair, too, is organised along with the expo.

You can find the expensive arowana, oscar, coy carps, marine angel fishes, blue damsels, gouramis and guppis there. Also, look out for the star fish and sea anemones on display. A 10-foot-long fish tank is one of the major attractions at the venue.

The expo, planned and organised jointly by the Aquarium World magazine, Ornamental Fish Association of Kerala and the MPEDA, has provided a platform for buyers, breeders and clients to come together. They also have experts, researchers and doctors who will be interacting with the people. You will be able to watch videos of diseases that occur in fishes and their treatment.

Some of the imporatant participants are CMFRI, Matsya Fed and Snehanilayam Special School. It is your opprtunity to buy and get to know all kinds of aquarium accessories like tanks, underwater plants, backlights, fish food and medicines.

Adults are charged Rs 20 and kids Rs five for entry.
