Kerala – 29th out of 133 Best Destinations In The World
There’s reason to be happy for India. In its list of 133 “World’s Greatest Places”, National Geographic Traveler has listed Rajasthan as the 19th best, Kerala backwaters as 23rd and Agra city at 30th position. Rajasthan’s tourism has received an impetus after the government’s initiative to unite the area culturally.
The survey was conducted by the National Geographic Society’s Centre for Sustainable Destinations. Kerala’s backwaters are mainly located in Cochin, Alleppey and Kumarakom. It shows that the global downturn has not adversely affected Kerala as much as other Indian tourist sites.
